3. Intellectual property
The structure of the website, its texts, graphics, logos and software are the property of FTPUB unless stated otherwise. Any reproduction, representation or adaptation, in whole or in part, without prior written consent is prohibited.
The scripts you save in PrompterDef remain your exclusive property. FTPUB does not read, publish or use them in any way.
4. Liability
FTPUB strives to keep the service available and working properly but cannot guarantee it at all times. The service is provided as is; FTPUB cannot be held liable for any interruption, data loss or damage resulting from its use. You are responsible for keeping a copy of your important texts.
5. Personal data
Data controller: FTPUB, at the address given above.
Data collected: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We then store the scripts, tags and teleprompter settings you create, and the share links you turn on.
Purpose and legal basis: this data is used solely to identify you and provide the service (performance of a contract, art. 6.1.b GDPR). It is never sold, transferred or used for advertising.
Hosting and retention: data is hosted in France by OVH SAS and kept for as long as your account is active. Deleted scripts are permanently erased.
Share links: when you turn on a share link, anyone who has it can read the script (read-only link) or edit it after signing in with Google (edit link). Turning the link off makes it stop working immediately.
Your rights: under the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data. To exercise these rights, or to request the deletion of your account, write to FTPUB at the registered office address. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
6. Voice-controlled scrolling
Voice-controlled scrolling uses your browser’s built-in speech recognition, only while reading and after you allow microphone access. Depending on the browser, audio may be sent to its vendor (Google for Chrome, Microsoft for Edge, Apple for Safari) for transcription. PrompterDef never receives or stores the audio or the transcript: matching it to your script happens entirely in your browser.
7. Cookies
PrompterDef uses no advertising or third-party analytics cookies. Only strictly necessary cookies are set: the session cookie that keeps you signed in, the sign-in security cookies and the cookie that remembers your language. They do not require prior consent. Your light or dark theme preference is kept in your browser’s local storage.
8. Governing law
This notice is governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable solution, the courts with jurisdiction are those of FTPUB’s registered office.
